Problems with Catalog CO 7.1.1 64Bit
Hi, I downloaded trial 7.1.1, creted a new catalog at external hdd, imported all my photos from all my external hdd to the Catalog (current location) and tried sort the images (copy photos to one external HDD). So on my one biggest external HDD, I created a new folders (in CaptureOne) and tried move photos to this folders (of course in CaptureOne). All was ok, but actually I have problem. When I look at Folders List I don`t sea a some external HDD. When I try add it to the catalog I get info that images is in Catalog, but I still don`t see this folders at Folders List. When I open a Recent Import I see photos and can move photos between folders (phisicaly between external hdd). So I deleted the Catalog, create new, import once again all my photos, tried move photos in CO between folders and.... another folder disapeared on Folder Lists. I think, that problems might occur when I moved photos before a proxies will generate for all images. Thy Catalog is broken, I think, but why ?? How can I repair it ? Create a new catalog, import all photos isn`t a good option :/ It`s waste a time :/
Edit:
Sometimes I see folder without photos at Folder list but phisically photos are at hdd in this folder. When I try import images to this folder I see: The image F:\!Zdjecia\!Uporzadkowane\Biegnij Warszawo 2010\_MG_2035.CR2 is already referenced by the catalog and won't be imported 😲 :/
P.s I didn`t create any Albums, Smart Albums, only operate at Folders List.
P.s2 I imported my photos with adjustments. Becouse I have CO6 Express all my photos is from this engine.

Three notes, which may or may not apply to your situation.
Internal/external HDD
From several threads here in both the Mac & Windows CO7 forums, I learn that putting your catalog on an internal disk, while referencing to images on external disk, seems to be a kind of best practice. Note, that a catalog can run from an external disk, but I would prefer to follow the best practice.
Folders
When you import images as referenced images (Import dialog > Import To > Store Files > Current Location) the HDD folder should be listed in the Folders section of the catalog, Library tool. When you select that folder, the imported images should be displayed in your browser (when filtering is off).
You can however also add a HDD folder to the catalog (instead of importing images in it), but that does not include the images inside that folder to be imported and displayed.
Once you have added a folder manually to your catalog, you might get a conflict when you import images into your catalog (referenced) from that folder as the catalog already has a reference (link) to the folder that holds the images. If that is the case remove the 'empty' folder you added manually from the catalog and import the images.
Verify
If you feel your catalog is inconsistent, perform a Verify from the File menu.0 -
Thanks Paul for answer. I use external HDD for a Catalog becouse I use only a small 64GB SSD in my laptop :/ :/
Folders. I always Import as referenced Images and have links in folders list in Library Tool. But sometimes this links disappear and I cannot add this because have messages that this photo is in Catalog. I cannot delete this folder from Catalog becouse I don`t see it at Folder list in Library Tool :/ So one options is delete Catalog and create it once again :/
Or sometimes I see that I have 0 images in this folder(but after import I was photos in this folder and photos still are on HDD ). I cannot import images becouse that the same message that photos are in Catalog. When I delete folder and add once again photos come back 😉
How I sort a images.
I manually add a new folder on a new external HDD (via Capture One), this folder isn`t phisically exist on hdd and haven`t any photos. After that I add it to the Catalog, then move a photos to this folder in drag and drop in CO (CO move files from another hdd to this one).
I try found a tool Verify but I don`t see it at File menu 😲 I think that problem is with inconsistence of Catalog, becouse when I create a new Catalog, import all sorted files and others HDD all is ok. But when I work at Folders in Library Tool, when do some operation like move, copy etc I have problems that I subscribe above.0
