Thumbs are either black or blank white

I am sure that I have seen other references to this problem. Many ingestions are fine, but every so often the files that I ingest turn a black or white thumbnails once I have clicked on them and done some simple editing. If I close the folder and reopen, then the thumbs are back. What's happening and how do I fix the problem.

  Vaughn,
  Sounds like a corrupt file. Once adjustments are made and the original data is set as a starting point, the image turns black... as the original information is invalid. Just a thought but we can confirm with an example file, through a support case of course.

  Hi,
  
  i have the same problem when I start directly after downloading/Import the files. Now I solve this problem in this way:
  
  1. Importing the files from the camera.
  2. Close C1 (!!)
  3. Start C1 again
  
  In this way I haven't any problems with black thumbnails.

  Hi Vaughn,
  I have the same problem with the version 5 pro, and the same experiences as Wolfram. All my picturefiles are well, not corrupted.

  i create a support case, when my two other problems will be solved (Magenta and color with Canon EOS 7D files). This other problems are more important for me (and I am waiting to long for that). 😉
  
  Is there no possibility to test beta-Versions?
