Tool Tabs Customization Request
Okay, just started working with C1 Pro (hope to wean myself off LR for good) and found something that should be added to the workspace customization. I would like to be able to switch around the order of the Tool Tabs (Library, Camera, Quick, Color, and so on) or lose the Tab altogether to suit my needs.
I don't shoot tethered so the camera tab does nothing for me. Likewise I now have all of my Exposure tools in the Quick column. Also, if I wanted to create a new tab I might want it out front instead of to the rear. I would also like to see a keyboard shortcut assigned to each tab. One of the nice things in LR is the ability to go from the Develop to Library Module with a simple "D" on the keyboard.
Also, the ability to show and hide the viewer with a key command would be great to (like "E" and "G" in LR).
Anyway, you get my point. So Phase, how about it?
Best,
Charles

Hi Charles, welcome to the forum. To set your expectations to reasonable levels, please don't be disappointed Phase One will not respond to your post. This is because this is a user-to-user forum, hosted, moderated and monitored by Phase One staff. For a reply to any issue (either problem or request) with Capture One, create a support case on the Phase One web site.
Nice request though.0 -
Hi Paul,
No I didn't expect any response from the Phase people. Just a request really and maybe other users wanting the same thing could chime in. Looking forward to the update tomorrow - who knows?
Best,
Charles0 -
Hello
This is a good request.... and I have it already on my own wish list, which our R&D dept have access to 😉
It is just one of those things that make sense when everything else is customizable..

No it isn't!!
You are still giving us the option to customise the toolbar with icon & text. Quite handy if you've just started on C4 & a bit unsure what those symbols mean. Have you tried it & managed to get it to work?
I've been reliably informed, by one of your consultants it won't work & it's a known bug.
That was in October last year & it still ain't been fixed. However I can now shoot jpeg - whoopee! My P45+doesn't seem to be giving me that option BUT, my daughter's Fuji FinePix j10 only shoots in jpeg. She would like to know when she can expect to be able to shoot tethered.
Should I open up a 'support case' for this as an exciting new development wish?0 -
You are right David
I was more thinking in the terms of individual tools in the specific tabs.
And Charles request made a lot of sense.0 -

And Charles request made a lot of sense.
And, so would fixing known bugs make make a bit of sense BEFORE adding new features.
I look forward to reading what's been fixed, rather than added, in v4.8.
In terms of adding things, I'll ignore the lack of the long overdue, promised about a year ago, stitching facility for the moment. ❓0 -

SOME THINGS are customizable.. not everything else.
But it is not like that a lot users did ask for old shortcuts or something back - or the ability to create/edit them..
I would like to ask you again what is in the pipeline - and when will it be implemented about. Just a rare cut..0
