How to locate offline folders?

I have just finished creating catalogs for numerous folders that reside on a hard drive that is nearly full and about to be replaced. I have presumed that EM will remember the location of the original folders, even when the folders are offline. Is this correct, and, if so, how does it actually work? That is, if I open a catalog, will EM tell me where the original folder is located, even if the HD is not currently mounted?

  The information is stored in the "Path" field.
  
  The path also shows at the top of the Thumbnail & Media panes and will be in red (with a warning) if the original is not currently available.

  Thanks very much. Is the Path name only displayed in the List view, or is there another place where one can find it?

  It is also in thumbnail view - look at the top - right above the picture
