Image quality improvement with 4.0 especially in fleshtones!

Can somebody confirm this affirmation from Keith Carpenter?


I had a bed experience with the EOS 40D comparing with the DPP v.3.2 converter!

Keith could you be so kind and give me some background information why, despite the price difference and additional waiting time for C1 v4, PO is not able yet to match at least the quality provided by Canon own free converter.

  When many truly compare Canon program with Capture One, the vast majority resolve that there really is no comparison... Capture One is far and away superior.
  Therefore, if you cannot get satisfactory results, then I would say that there is a setting that is incorrect.
  We've already been hearing feedback that the greatest improvement is with fleshtones in v 4.
  And of course our previous versions are reknowned for Image Quality and Fleshtones, with version 4 Raising -the- Bar yet again.
  
  Submit a Support Case with all details and screenshots of workflow and Output settings. Attach a RAW image file and tech support will analyze with you.

  In the last 24 hours I've been savaging the new v4 interface, but I do think the image quality is improved over v3.7.7.
  
  Colors do look exceptional with the new engine, but what I'm noticing more is much better micro-contrast, which, of course, helps the colors pop much better. My 1D MkIII photos shot under good lighting are looking quite stunning.
  
  I do not use Canon's RAW converter as I've been very happy with C1 in the past. Maybe I'm missing out on something even better in Canon's software, but I only have so much time to be obsessive-compulsive about evaluating image quality! (I mean no offense - I'm super picky and it's really for my own sanity that I stop the madness where I can!)
  
  I can't speak to precise flesh tones myself as I'm not a studio photog and don't make my living off of that level of precise color reproduction.
  
  But as much as I hate the new v4--and I do hate its UI--I am very very impressed with the image quality, and I'm happy to give it its props.
  
  Just my opinion, obviously everyone will have a different take on something as subjective (or at least something as hard to precisely measure and quantify) as color reproduction.

  I have been quite impressed with v4's color rendering. Even the Generic
  profile is excellent. With Magne's profiles, I have been getting superb
  color, with unbelievable flesh tones - at least as good, if not better, than
  v3.
