    Hi Kent,

I think the script you are looking for is 'Keywords from Folders,' located under the Annotate sub-menu of the script menu.

Is your script menu not showing up? The base scripts are located in the app bundle (control-click on Media Pro app and choose Show Package Contents) under currently supported localized languages:

    /Applications/Media Pro.app/Contents/Resources/English.lproj/Plug-ins/Scripts
    /Applications/Media Pro.app/Contents/Resources/ko.scripts
    /Applications/Media Pro.app/Contents/Resources/zh_CN.scripts
    /Applications/Media Pro.app/Contents/Resources/zh_TW.scripts

It might not show up if you are running under a different system language. (Just a guess.)

Hello and thanks for the reply. I do have all of those scripts, thanks for pointing me to the paths, but no Applescript menu.

Is there some way to activate it? Standard install on everything, as far as I know, and no tricky language options...

Hmm... that's odd. Couple of things to check:

    1) Are you using a Mac? Silly question, but you didn't mention platform, OS version, or anything about your version of Media Pro, etc.

    2) Is your screen resolution so small, or the menu items to the right in your menu bar are so many, that the script menu and Help menu of Media Pro just doesn't show up? Verify that the Help menu is visible (see previous screen snap).

    3) Did you already have a bunch of AppleScripts installed in /Users/<user>/Library/Application Support/Expression Media 2/Plug-ins/Scripts ? On first launch of Media Pro it looks there and duplicates all Plugin folders over to /Users/<user>/Library/Application Support/Phase One Media Pro/Plug-ins/. Could be that one of those scripts, or other items, failed to copy, or that they copied over to something that keeps the MP's Script Menu from showing. Check /Users/<user>/Library/Application Support/Phase One Media Pro/Plug-ins/<any folder here> exists. If so, check for scripts in the Scripts sub-folder and remove any, then relaunch Media Pro to see if its Script Menu shows up.

As an alternative to MP's Script Menu, you can copy the /Applications/Media Pro.app/Contents/Resources/English.lproj/Plug-ins/Scripts folder contents to /Users/<user>/Library/Scripts/Applications/Media Pro folder and run all your scripts from the system Script Menu while in Media Pro. Create 'Media Pro' if necessary (note that the OS sees the program as Media Pro, not Phase One Media Pro, like the Application Support folder name might suggest). You can also just make an alias there back to /Applications/Media Pro.app/Contents/Resources/English.lproj/Plug-ins/Scripts.

Running AppleScript.app applications from the system Script Menu is also a good idea, as Media Pro sees them as folders (bug), though you can run the 'main' script accessible via the submenu off of a AppleScript.app listed in MP's Script Menu.

I recommend, if you are going to run a bunch of AppleScripts, you consider using FastScripts ( / ) Script Menu app as it allows for keyboard shortcuts for its items and has other nice features.

You can turn on the showing of the system AppleScript menu like so...

    For Mac OS X 10.5.x

For Mac OS X 10.6.x (launch AppleScript Editor from /Applications/Utilities/ folder)
