    Chris,

This error happens if Capture One is unable to write the captured image to disk. This is most likely because there is no Session Capture folder selected. It could also be because you do not have write access permission to the currently selected destination.

Thanks Keith. Yes, my session capture folder was somehow corrupted. By starting a new session, then worked like a charm. Today I'm purchasing a Macbook, and looking forward to the faster tethered speeds that I was able to get on my Intel iMac.

download the correct version of the ppc IOUSBFamily.kext, which for my powerbook g4 is the one from 10.4.6
    Mac OS X 10.4.6 8I127 IOUSBFamily.kext 2.2.8 for PPC System Update for PPC based systems v 228.4.0
This downloads a package installer and it replaces your 10.4.7 usb controller file with the 4.0 version which does work. Just to be safe I made a backup of the file first, it's in your system/library/extensions folder
I did this successfully and it worked right away.
This way you don't have to worry about permissions and such, as it works just like any other apple updater software.
good luck to all you Canon USB users.
