Upgrade from Capture One v7 to 12.x

Hi,
I have CO Express v7. I am using it since v4, I did two upgrades. From version 9 there is only PRO version of your software. Today I've logged in on my account and I read the message that none of my licenses is upgradable to version 12. Is there really no possibility to do any upgrade from older version of software? Do I have to pay full price for the software I'm still using?
What's the option for people who do not earn on photography?

  You can only upgrade from n-2 or n-1 version.
  
  Capture One Express is now a Sony or Fuji only version.

  In the latest e-mail from Phase One they say:
  
  "We offer special upgrade prices for all existing Capture One users."
  
  I interpret that as you can go from n-3 and n-4 etc also, but you have to pay more the older the version.
  
  Going from old Express might not be an option anymore.

  When upgrading Capture One Pro "old version" to Pro 12 you can now go way back, which was not the case with upgrading to CO11. This is also true for the branded Pro versions, like Pro Sony. Pro Fujifilm is quite new and came with an upgrade to 12, so it does not apply to this license yet.
  
  Capture One Express is free and branded (Sony and now Fujifilm) since version 8. Capture One Express 7 users could IIRC upgrade to Pro 8 for a special prize back then.
  
  You, with your Express 7 license are in a special situation. You could ask in a support case what your options are, apart from buying a new full Pro license (or branded Pro is you have a Sony or Fujifilm camera only).
