C1 DB Upgrading policy?

I bought a used LightPhase back some time ago. The C1 DB version with camera back was 2.7 (mac). Can any one tell how to get the version 3.7 activated? Do I have to pay for it even though it is not available in Phase One E-shop?

  Capture One DB is for digital backs only - it can be downloaded from our website. If you want Capture One Pro you have to purchase the upgrade.
