Capture Pilot "server unavailable connection error occured"
I have been using capture pilot with my TPlink MR3040 and Macbook pro for a long time now with my iPad 4 and A7Rii.
I have never (ever) had any connection problems.
Now, I get "server unavailable - a connection error occured" during my shoots which forces me to click ok which brings me back to the server list. I click on the server again and I'm back in.
It seems to be fine for the beginning for the session but once it starts happening I can only get 1 or 2 shots before I am kicked off again.
I always work on location so it's not specific interference in a single location. I can't use my iPad professionally any longer like this.
It started with 10.0.2 (for Sony), I have never had a problem until recently.
Also, The histogram is no longer showing in Capture Pilot... It's a blank window now.
Does anyone else have this "server unavailable - a connection error occured" problem or know of a solution?

I suggest you remove Capture Pilot from your iPad and install it again. A second tip is that you connect your MacBook Pro via an Ethernet cable with the TPLink, instead of via WiFi (what most people do). This improves the reliability of the connection.
Last, if the problem stil has not gone, delete the preferences of Capture One. Also, if you are a single session user (one session in use for a long period of time), create a new session.0 -
Thanks for your reply Paul.
I tried removing and reinstalling Capture Pilot.
I will try connecting via Ethernet Cable. I have never even once had a dropped connection before this started happening.
I will delete my C1 preferences. I change sessions for every shoot.
This all seemed to start after updating to 10.0.2. Luckily I still have v9 on my work macbook. I will use v9 for my shoot later today to see if I still have the problem.
Thanks again for your suggestions.0 -
I used Capture One v9 on my macbook for a shoot all day yesterday like I used to.
Did not have *any* connection problems.
Histogram works as well.
So it seems there is a problem with 10.0.2 and Capture Pilot.0
