capture one session
Hi,
i just started working with capture one and have a problem working with sessions. After starting a new session and import the images the program adds the images from the last session into the viewer. I changed the the the import folder and the source. But every time after the import ist finished, he adds the older images into the viewer.
What ist the mistake?

thanks Rolf

How are you selecting the images to import into the new session?
The only time that this has happened to me is when I had not reformatted my XQD card in camera and Imported All in C1, thereby reimporting images from an earlier shoot together with images from my new shoot.

Hi Michael,
i did it 2 ways. First i copied the files from my Card to the ext. hard disk an then i create a new session and import the files from the hard disk, when i do this a second time with a new session and a new import folder with new images c1 import the files and after its done he copys the images from the session before into the viewer. I find both files from different sessions in the c1 session folder.
i also copy the files in the import folder and start c1. But the same happened. I have this problem in 8 from 10 imports.
I dont think its a bug. Maybe i do something wrong or misunderstand the import and session thing. But i dont know where is the mistake. I never had these kind of problems with lightroom.
The way working with sessions is the best way for me, because i don´t want a big catalogue.
thanks for your help

Rolf,
How are you creating you new session?
Are you using a Template or just defining a new one from the start?
When you look in the Library tool do you see any entries in the "Favourites" section? (Favourite folders - the images in the folder do not have to be imported to the session - but I will expand in that comment if you find something.
Also if you select on of the unwanted images you can identify exactly where it is coming from.
My guess would be the folder for the other Session already created. (In a C1 session there is no reason why an image cannot be associated with more then one session, so no restriction would be applied based on the image being "owned" by another session.)

Hi,
thank you for your support. i found a way that works. I m not sure if this is the right one but i create a new session and select the folder where i saved my original RAWs under systemfolder.
What is your workflow?
By the way. I have performance problems changing the cutout or changing the contrast or something else. It takes a while until it works. You can see a symbol working. My computer is a 3,2 intel core i5 imac 16GB RAM. Scrolling through the viewer with more than 1000 images is no problem. Can i change the settings to raise the performance?
thanks
