Spinning beachball when browsing through presets

    Hi,

because no-one has given an authoritative answer 😉 yet, I'll take a shoot.

As you know, when you browse through the presets, C1 tries to preview the effect of the preview being selected on the image being viewed. Depending on the image size/adjustments/layers, this may take a bit of time. Hence, quickly browsing between presets then becomes an interesting exercise in when to queue up a task to build the preview build tasks, when to cancel the current one and when to ignore the mouse movements. Lots of opportunities to introduce timing/locking issues! 😊

Things you could try to help isolate the problem.
    - do you have the same problems when you try it on a very small image (say jpg) with no adjustments?
    - do you have the same problems on images from another camera (and thus, ICC profile)?
    - do you have the same problems when you try it without the image being shown in a viewer?
    - do you have the same problems when you toggle the CPU acceleration preference?
    - do you find any entries in the log files (console)?
    - if you open the Activity window in C1 beforehand, do you notice anything peculiar in there?

As you can see, I have no clue as to what is causing this 😊

    Cheers,
    Peter.
