Can't Copy/Apply Spot Adjustment

There is any specific reason why I cannot Copy/Apply Spot Adjustments?

  Are you trying to copy spot removal settings from one image to another?
  
  If so, then that does work for me.
  
  What steps are you using to do the copy?

  To OP:
  
  This weekend I've taken some shots stopped down a bit further than usual. As a consequence some dust spots showed and needed removal - and this made me also struggle for a moment because I wasn't able to do this with the dust/spot removal tool as I usually did some time ago (probably previous version of C1).
  
  But I found out quickly what was wrong: Under the Spot Removal tool the field "Type" was blank - for unknown reasons. And as soon I'd selected either Spot or Dust everything went just fine - including to copy/apply such corrections from one to further images.
  
  Before this the orange circle appeared as usual but after positioning and clicking upon the spot, nothing happened (the usual blending). So then I noticed the "blank" field "Type" and after selecting Spot everything returned to work as it should.

  This works fine on my version: 9.0.3
  Corrections are copied according to the orientation and croppings.
