Cant tether canon 5d to mac book (black)
Hi everybody,
every advice is very appereciated!
i read that this topic had appeared already in the past, but my case seems tougher.
C1 (latest version) on a mac book (10.4.8.) "sees" the canon 5d, but does
not connect. we tried it with 3 different cams. none worked. different cables.
new session. pc connect setting in camera. nothing worked.
reinstalled the entirely useless canon software with all new updates.
didnt help. and the canon software doesn't run in intel macs.
very thankfull for any other suggestions.

Thomas,
Do you use Capture One Pro or LE. You need Pro for tethered operation. Just to be sure.0 -
yes, pro. 0 -
All,
I suggested that Thomas post here at Forum for help while our Test Dept. can work on this issue using the same equipment.
He has been thorough in trying to establish tether, but all known issues are covered here.
-Current Firmware
-OS 10.4.8
-PRO 3.7.6
-Correct in-camera setting - PC-Connect
-New Session and Permissions to location
I know others are using this set-up successfully, so,
What are we missing here?
Sincerely,
K C0 -
You don't have iPhoto or any other software that might be popping up and highjacking the camera do you? 0
