Backing up a catalog
As I work refining keywords, Descriptions etc. I notice that every so many minutes Exp. Media automatically does a back up. Where is this stored? I'd like to have a catalog back up copy on another HD. Is this possible like I can do in Lightroom? FYI, I'm on a Mac and have looked in libraries and applications support, but have not located a back up file.
Thanks,
Sue

Hello Sue,
I think the 'back-up' every few minutes is only 'saving the current opened catalog'.
You can find the location of the catalog with Ctrl+K or Menu/File/Catalog info (in windows...). The extension of the catalog is .ivc
This file you can back-up manualy (copy to another location) or automaticly with i.e. the application 'Syncback. The free edition is sufficient for this purpose.

Thanks for the info. I was making it harder than it is. I can just copy the ivc catalog in the Pictures folder to another HD. I was thinking I needed to locate it in another place. Thanks for the info.
