What do you mean with "screen blows out". Is it just the image that go nearly completely white or the full screen?

Does this happen when you have OpenCL turned off?

This has been happening since I installed the production CO 9.2: the screen on on 5k iMac blows out when I move any sliders. This of course means that I can only use them by trial and error.

I've downloaded a fresh copy of the installer (which appears to be the same build) and have re-installed, but things have not improved.

Anyone else experiencing this and more importantly: do you have a fix?

    Regards

I have the same issue ! Started seeing it in CO 9.2 Beta 3, Beta 2 did not. Reported it but it's still there... Very frustrating ☹️

I'm also having this, although only a small proportion of the time - yet overall performance is better, so hopefully just a minor bug they can sort out.

I agree, the overall performance is great on the Retina iMac finally! Very thankful that PhaseOne fixed the huge performance bug! I hope they will not take as long to fix this bug... 😁

I experienced something very similar where the highlight recovery blows out when other sliders are used. From another post...

"After high dynamic range has been adjusted, the high dynamic adjustment effect view will revert (OR BLOWS OUT) while applying other exposure adjustments. This is not how it worked previously, and makes it difficult to judge the amount of further adjustments needed.

I'm on EL Capitan, late 2015 5K Retina Pro, and OpencCL turned off as I was having other problems with it on.

Update - it also occurs with OpenCL on or off.

I just tried it out. It looks like I've added a couple of stops with the Exposure slider. The effect lasts 1-2 seconds and then it drops back to as it should be.

That's odd. I didn't see this in the beta.

Yeah. I turned off OpenCL months ago to try to get some performance out of CO9. I haven't tried it with OpenCL on, but it looks like it's not worth bothering.

To add further. I haven't tried every slider, but the "blow out" effect has happened with every slider I've tried - even the vignette slider!

I had a similar issue with catalogues I used (edited) with the beta version. Rebooting the system, opening C1P without catalogue (option key) and then repair / verify catalogue in the file menu did fix it for me.

Thanks. It was worth a try, but didn't work for me.

For everyone's info, Tech Support says P1 development now has all the information needed to make a fix for this.

Extremely happy to hear that sice I reported this bug in Beta 3, so I was very surprised when I saw this again in the final release of CO 9.2

I'm having this problem again - or maybe, still.

There's no obvious pattern, with it happening intermittently with Nikon and Fuji files.

    Anyone else?

    This is very frustrating!

    Regards
