CaptureOne to MediaPro

Do you use Capture One in Catalog or Session mode? Adjustments are only recognised by Media Pro if using CO in Session mode.

In the answer to the support case I had opened in March Phase One explained this was expected behaviour: in Catalog mode, development settings are stored inside the catalog and are specific to the catalog. The one RAW file you have catalogued in Media Pro might appear in multiple Capture One catalogs (say, a Black-and-White catalog and a Colour catalog), so there’s no way for Media Pro to know which are the “correct†development settings.

    Hope this helps,

Thanks for the reply, but why can't I open or import the catalog-file into MediaPro? Should and can I switch to the session mode?

I use CO in the sessions mode only. I have never really like the CO catalog mode, and it is my opinion that if you use Media Pro, which is a true DAM, there is no need to use CO in a catalog mode.
I initially render all my photos using the WIC engine, then I later go back and rebuild only the best photos that I have processed with CO using the CO render engine. This saves a lot of time.

I'm on a mac, I don't know if PhaseOne or Apple-Rendering is faster.
Yes, I'm now in Session mode, but have some problems too, in this post I asked a question

Which i've answered there, but you should actually rebuild the thumbnails in MP once you've made the changes in CO.
