No RAW images showing up from hard drive
Free trial of Capture One Pro 3.7: I downloaded it because apparently it works wonders on the as-yet-unsupported-by-anyone-else Pentax k20d RAW files.
Unfortunately, I can't get anything to show up except jpegs. No DNG or PEF files, even from the older k10d.
Saw a similar thread on this forum but that turned out to be the wrong software; this is definitely PRO that I'm using, not anything else.
If I navigate to a folder, the progress bar will show up in the thumbnail window, and chug along... then come back with "no images". Anyone had anything similar happen? I'm on a desktop g4 (MDD), dual 1GHz with 1.5GB SDRAM, in OS X 10.4.11.
Thanks very much!

Hi,
Welcome to the forum.
Which version of CO 3.7 are you using? For the K10D you need at least 3.7.7 or later. The K20D is not yet supported if I read the release notes of the latest 3.7.8 release.
Note: CO 3.7.x LE or Pro have the same DSLR camera support. However, 3.7.8 was not released in LE version due to release of is successor CO 4 (currently Light only, Pro comes later). Unfortunately, CO 4.0.1 (=latest) does not support the K20D yet (it does support the K10D).0 -

Aha! 🤭 Thank you, Paul.
I'll run updates and hopefully that will take care of it! From what I've seen in the Pentax forum at DP Review, people have been opening k20d shots with CO... so, fingers crossed!0 -
K20D raw files (as discussed on DPreview) are probably opened with CO4, since it has 'generic DNG' support, which CO3.7x does not.
Maybe you want to give CO4 a try, since you are in trial mode already?0 -
I tried CO 4.01 and the DNG file crashed at the last part of the processing. 0
