COLOR NOISE problem!! Attention to support team!
Hi! I would like to pick up the attention of Capture One support team because I see a REAL problem that appeared in 4x versions and never existed in 3x, I mean it became WORSE than it was before. I'm a professional photo retoucher working with hundreeds of photos every day and after having try many other raw converters I decided that C1 was the best and now I'm greatly upset that the new version with many good features lost this feature with color noise....
Here I explain with samples.
There was a lovely feature in 3x versions - Color Noise Removing. If I moved the slider to 100%, I was getting a nice grain without color noise that reminded a film grain and looked very well.
Here I start my samples. I took a RAW file, camera Nikon D200.
First samples:
Capture One Pro 3.7.7, no noise supressed, no sharpness, the pic "as is":

Capture One Pro 4.6.1, no noise supressed, no sharpness, the pic "as is":

Now second samples:
Capture One Pro 3.7.7, color noise supressed to 30 (maximum), no sharpness:

Capture One Pro 4.6.1, color noise supressed 100 (maximum), no sharpness:

Another crop of the same pic - do you see this awful blurry fringing around the red color parts? http://s48.radikal.ru/i122/0902/6e/a6498df53298.jpg
So you see what happens? Instead of nice grain and rather sharp image (even with "disable sharpening" option) in 4x version we get something blurry and looking bad.
I was trying to play with sliders adding some sharpness and making the color noise suppression less in 4x version to get optimal quality but Capture One 3x still gives better images than 4x. Have a look:
3x:

4x

This thing really makes me upset. Very often I get lovely photos made in big ISO that have noise. It's not a problem is there is a grain but a digital color noise looks really ugly and it's hard to work with it further, I prefer to remove it with raw processing moreover than the 3x C1 was making it so good.
I don't think I do something wrong, I read all help files, etc., I suppose it's a bug in new version and I really hope that somebody from support team will read it and reply.

interesting to compare with rawtherapee (no sharpening, maximum color noise reduction, HPHD demosaicing)

Using Olympus E3 files, certain colours were heavily affected (selective desaturation) when sliding up to 100 with version 4.51 and viewing at 100%.
Although perhaps not meant to be used a 100%, this should not happen.
Don't know if 4.6 is any better with this, I now apply noise red. in P.P.

When I tried to use it on less %, not all color noise was removed (it was still possible to see magenta or cyan grains) - although in 3x version C1 was making it very well. Also the grain itself looked more 'natural', more round, like a film grain...0
