Retailer order

I see a UK retailer that is saying "special order". However I know that this product can be downloaded without a delay. Will the retailer be inferring that by placing an order with him I would be getting a boxed product, i.e. version 8.xx? I would rather know the answer before I call him.

  I am not aware of a boxed version.
  
  You can obtain a discount by purchasing on-line using the web sites of certain Phase One Ambassadors, at least one of whom is very active in the forums and extremely helpful.
  
  If you want to support the UK vendors (who may also be able to offer other support from time to time) you could look at the list of Resources here:

  and a little way down the page you will find a link to a UK based web site that I can recommend as worth investigating based on my personal experience.
  
  However you only need to consider that for obtaining the Licence Key - the trial download is the full working software giving you 30 days to learn and understand what it offers complete with support from this forum and the Capture One Technical Support team via their Support Case management system should you feel you need it.

  As far as I know you get a disc (CD or DVD) from the retailer.
