Edited image doesn't match browswer copy

I did a shoot yesterday of about 250 images. Most of the files in CO 8.31 are fine. Near the end however the image in the editing window doesn't match the browser image. I'm guess that the sidecar link is corrupted. I have deleted a number of .cos files for the troubled files. Can I refresh the .cos files to relink them with the appropriate main files? Is there a better fix?

  Have you tried to regenerate the preview?
