Green marks on preview...then nothing
Hello Phase One,
I recently bought a 13 inch MacBookPro with 4 gigs of ram and a 500 gig Harddrive. Then I upgraded my CaptureOne Pro licence, which instantly worked without a hitch on my Mac Pro tower. But the laptop, although fine to begin with, started sending me advice about registering my back (a P25) which I had already done on the Pro. Then I thought I'd managed an update from the laptop but for some reason on demonstrating the software to a relation with a Nikon D90, there were green marks on the screen, somewhat similar to overexposure warnings, but looking to my eyes to be completely random. I thought this had to do with his Nikon files and didn't worry about it until I tried shooting tethered with the Hasselblad/P25, where the same thing occurred. Now things have got even worse, as although my files are still on the harddrive, on opening CaptureOne, the dreaded spinning wheel keeps on spinning, but will not open anything, with or without the green marks. The files in question from the recent shoot were not corrupted, the Pro processed them without a hitch, and while I had the green marks, it was possible to see that they were ok in the focus window.
Any ideas what I (or you 😊 )have done wrong? It renders the laptop useless on location, which was kinda what I bought it for! Btw. the interesting question further down about the iPad would persuade me to buy one if that ever works. I really don't need the keyboard on location.

You have the focus checker (focus mask) switched on. Tool icon will be highlighted red.
If your still using the default toolbar its the magnifying glass tool next to the exposure warning and alignment tools.0 -
On my system the focus mask is green and (over)exposure signals red. Switch off the focus mask with the toolbar button of through the View menu. 0 -
Thanks for your help, guys. As it turned out, the problem solved itself when I downloaded and installed the latest version of 5.0.2
