Activation Problem
I have 3.7.3 installed on my deskop/server for my photography business and I tried to also install it on my new laptop that was just purchased. I had my 2nd allowable copy (previous version) installed on my old laptop, which was formatted, rebuilt and sold... I am entitled to have a 2nd copy of it installed on my 2nd machine (laptop) but I am getting an ACTIVATION error when I try to activate it. I'm also unable to log in to create a support case for this..
This same thing happened when I had issues earlier in 2005. I can't tell you how frustrating this is. You pay ALOT of money for a product and you have this kind of trouble installing, activating it and trying to get support for it..

I created a support case and I have yet to receive a key to activate my upgraded software on my new computer. As someone said in yet another post about activation problems... \"this is beginning to be a joke\"
I guess the Phase One support took Friday off as there was nothing in my support case addressed today. Hopefully, someone will attend to this and ALL of your customers RE-activation issues.0 -
I still cannont activate my software... It keeps telling me the key is invalid and is not valid with this software inspite of PHASEONE SUPPORT saying that it is valid. WHO IS RIGHT IN THIS CASE? the software or PO support?
SOMEBODY that knows what the heck is going on PLEASE HELP.
Keith Carpenter of Phase One Support... you are more than welcome to come to my house, I live by O'hare, and tell my C1 Program Activator that the number is valid then I am sure it will listen to you and magically activate my key.
I guess if my software, that I paid big money for was working then I would be there processing photos rather than wasting my time here.
Sitting here alone in this forum bitching about Phase One software activation problems is my favorite thing to do on my day off.

The Key is invalid because you are attempting to use a Product Key for the LE version to activate a PRO version.
LE Product Key will activate the LE version of Capture One only and likewise with a PRO Product Key.
To Summarize Activation Process:
Activations are quite straightforward and should never take more than 10 minutes time. Be sure to have correct version installed.
Each install on a computer must go through the described activation process starting with entering the Product Key.
Each machine will return a Registration Key which must be delivered to Phase One entered at the web site. Then system will return an Activation Key to be entered into the software on each machine.
Product Key = 4 x 4 alpha numeric characters - you were issued from original purchase
Registration Key = 4 x 6 alpha numeric characters - newly created on each machine being activated
Activation Key = 4 x 6 alpha numeric characters - issued by P1 after receiving Registration Key
