Best to open a support case. No solution from my hand. I did a search; typically a OS X - Cocoa (=programmers language) message I suspect based on the quote below.
    NSInvalidReceivePortException
Name of an exception that occurs when the receive port of an NSConnection has become invalid. This is a distributed object–specific exception.

Can happen with all kind of applications on OS X. And although I do not have a clue, I would try to start CO5 without a network connection (unplug your Ethernet cable or disconnect from your wireless LAN). Just curious.

Was there anything accompanying that error?
This is something that I've seen quite often but never in regard to a particular software, especially not Capture One. This error seems quite common when people, myself included, are running/installing the Mac OS on Hack computers (Intel PC's with the Mac OS).
I would second Paul's suggestion to create a support case.

You may want to try restarting your machine...

I too have this issue. Did you guys ever figure out what it's doing? I'm using Phase One 5.2, have used it successfully in the past many times and all of a sudden it just started doing this. I'm downloading it again and will uninstall and reinstall it to see if it helps.
I'm anal about all the little programs on my mac and I use programs like MacKeeper or Cleanapp to erase apps that I don't use that get installed with other programs. I'm wondering if at some point between this use and the last use if I erased something crucial to C1P.

Joe69, as you might have read in the thread, this is a OS X error and can be triggered by any application and in your case it happens to be Capture One. Create a support case as Drew suggested earlier in this thread.

Thanks for the quick supply. Sorry for sounding dumb, but what does creating a support case do? How do I create one?
