How to import a session into a catalog
I am trying to run in both sessions and a catalog. CO 10.2 Windows 10
The online help states that I can import a session with all adjustments and variants into a catalog. The instructions appear very straight forward:
file/import session/select session database (<name>.cosessionbd)
however, neither the images, the adjustments or any variants appear in the catalog after the import completes. I have tried "Synchronize Folder" with no luck. I am using the same software version 10.2 for both the catalog and session. I have tried version 11 and no change.
What am I missing? Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

There are a number of ways to use the session concept.
Did you import the files to the session?
Did you navigate to the folders where files already existed?
If the latter, did you make the folder "favourites"
Has anything moved (outside the activities session) between the last time you successfully used it and the attempted import?
Start out questions - there may be more depending in your answers.

Did you import the files to the session?
No - I have been using just one large session like a browser - unconventional but it works well. I browse to the folder I wish to work in, select the image, make my adjustments and then process to print or output or move on to the next image.
To test the session import to a catalog I started a new session selected existing images and made adjustments to several images in a folder and created variants. I then opened the existing catalog and ran the import session. In the User Collections of the catalog it reports the imported session and folders but without any images.
The catalog was set up to hopefully allow much better DAM functionality - quicker filtering, keywording, albums and collections.

Yes

No

OK,
If the images were imported then you would certainly expect the process to take them into a catalogue because the session is "complete".
If you have not imported the images but have set the folder they are in as Favourites then I would guess that they would be identified and picked up to be known to the catalogue as referenced files but you would need to check it. I only used catalogues for occasional tests so it's not something I have tried.
If the images are in folder outside the catalogue folder structure AND unknown to the catalogue database by not being linked in any way (i.e. as a favourite folder) then I would be surprised if C1 had any way to know about them as part of a session to catalogue creation attempt.
But I may be wrong.
I think from your information that you have this last situation.
You should be able to import to the catalogue directly from the folders I would guess. Try it to see what happens?
