C1 Pro resets tools on it's own.

Is it my computer only (I doubt it) or is it the occasional desire for C1 programers to reset tool preferences?

I use C1 as I always have, then after an upgrade the tools reset in random ways. I presume this is to get users to see new features and/or try new tools.

Is there a way to globally PRESERVE my tool settings? Don't confuse this with saving recipes. I want to save tool settings, operation, locations etc.

Not long ago I did a minor upgrade and all the tabs were reset to what looked like a default set-up. Took me days to refine it back to the way I liked it.

    Save your workspace. And if it has changed, revert to it.

    Saved workspace doesn't load as one would expect. Positioning of thumbnails and tabs resets to my set-up but the tools in various tabs ( I use 4 tabs set-up with the tools I need ) use a new configuration and re-order to some other configuration.

    EG: Adjustment layers tool doesn't show up in the tab I normally use and saved work space. When I add the tool, the default setting of the tool has the mask reversed. It covers the entire file and brushing takes the adjustment away. I prefer the default to be the adjustment is masked from the image and brushing applies the adjustment to brushed areas.

    Also, Exposure tool resets so that an adjustment layer change affects all layers. It needs to be reset manually to only adjust selected layers. This seems like a mistake. Why would you want to make an adjustment layer and apply those adjustments globally to all layers? Kind of a contradiction in wording and thought process but maybe could have a use in the occasional circumstance. By default it should always only adjust the selected layer. If you want to make a global adjustment to the file (by making a new adjustment layer??? Any practical reason escapes me.) then you have the option.
