Keyword association not deleted ?

Hi,
I created a list of hierarchical keywords. I dragged a picture in one of them. Count in hierarchy showed "1" for that keyword. Fine.

Then I edited image in media info panel and deleted keyword form the image.
I expected the association in hierarchy to be gone.... but it still shows "1" for that image.

is this supposed to be normal ?
