HDR portraits

Hi,
I'm using 5.1.1 and would like to produce some "gritty" HDR type portraits so common in magazines these days. Has anyone had any success in producing contrasty portraits with Capture One?

    Although HD in the style that you see EVERYWHERE today isn't really possible with Capture One and a simple flip of the switch... Capture One can give you a fantastic starting point, that coupled with multiple output variants of the same image (high range, low range, etc) and combining the results in a Post Editing software will give you precisely what you are looking for. When I feel like conforming, I start off with something like the following;
