Stuck adjustemts
Hi
I'm hoping someone can help with this problem I'm having since upgrading to 6.2.
It seems that somehow my adjustments are getting stuck in some form of automatic copy state. I'll try to explain. I can be working through a folder of images, making adjustment and copy / pasting these to the next image. All goes well for a while, until intermittently they seem to lock. Lets say I'm doing a series of studio headshots. The images are consistent so once I've set the various tools to my liking, I copy the settings and work through the rest of the folder. That works ok until I decide to change one image - say to a desaturated look, I adjust the Sat slider on that image BUT DO NOT copy the new parameters. When I go to the next image and try to apply the previous settings from the clipboard, the desaturated look from the last image is automatically applied. (remember I did not copy these settings to the clipboard). It seems that something is getting stuck. If I go back through and click on the thumbnails in the browser for images I have already adjusted rather than seeing the preview as i had adjusted it, and the tool sliders reverting to these previous settings, all these images automatically adjust to these new 'stuck' settings. (ie following the desaturated example, all previously adjusted full colour files automatically change to desaturated - simply by selecting them)
Does anyone know why this is happening. It has only done it since 6.2. I recently replaced my vista 64bit pc with a Win7 64bit. All new components. Fresh install. Same problem. The only way to clear the stuck settings is to close C1 and reopen it. It then works ok for a while before locking again
Am I missing something obvious??? This is driving me crazy

If you use 6.2.2, it could be the file lock issue discussed here in different threads. Will be solved in the next release but there is a workaround, to be found here:

Thanks Paul. I haven't tried 6.2.2 because of that well discussed problem. I first saw this in 6.2.1 on both machines. I uninstalled that from my new machine and reinstalled 6.2 but the problem is still there. I'm guessing something is corrupted in my setup but I don't want to go to all the time and hassle of the complete wipe (uninstalling and deleting registry and all other traces of C1 if it's a known issue.
The only thing I can think of that I copied from the previous pc was a few of my custom built styles. I'm 99% sure I rebuilt my keyboard shortcuts. Can a style preset cause this sort of grief?0
