Cant activate new license on MacBook
Hi. I had cap one and canceled in Jan of 2019. Just bought a new sub and got a new key (for the same computer) but I when I open cap one it gives me 3 options DEACTIVATE, CANCEL, RETRY. No matter what one I pick it closes cap one. Any ideas?

Log in to your C1 account and try managing the activations from there? 0 -
I have the exactly same problem. At its not possible to do anything from the C1 account. It just states that I have an subscription.
I tried do uninstall C1 according to the information on C1 website but no luck.

I had the same problem - went from subscription to perpetual license, couldn't enter new SN, all three options closed C1.
What worked:
1. I switched off my network connection.
2. Opened C1, no "Deactivate, cancel, retry" window.
3. Chose "License..." from "Capture One" menu.
4. Switched the network back on.
5. Clicked "Dectivate".
And it seemed to do the trick. Next time I was greeted with the standard dark "Try / Purchase" window, and I could enter my new SN.
I got a reply from the support later: "What will also help when it happens is to go to the “Applications†on your Mac, find the Capture One folder, and rename it." - but I haven't tried it, as there was no need anymore.

It could get quite tricky and support lacks here very much (mainly in time-manners)
Recently I got this articles to help - not sure if this fits to your needs:In order to make sure Capture One is working properly, I would kindly ask you to remove all Capture One versions and delete the libraries (make some backups of your settings/folders at this point if needed) as shown in the guide below, restart your machine and install Capture One 12.1.1 again:

BUT: (I also had this conversation about the same issue - BTW, I´m on Mac OS 10.14.6)Trying the 3rd time (this time I deleted all the …plist files manually in Finder and I get closer (screenshot). But still the button to change license is greyed out (screenshot) and I still got this window, that warns me, my license is deactivated. I click "visit our store" but there´s no help in sight. I don`t get this window (another screenshot), where I could fill in my serial number. Please help. Last step I could think of is to delete everything from CAPTURE ONE but then all my settings get lost. too, which would be a pity, of course.
Resetting Capture One by deleting it so far has been a bad advice.
I got finally very close, using this path:Now I hit the "SESSION" button and got at least the possibility to maybe change something but no.
I can see my "old" license number: -not necessary here-
But my new one is not mentioned: -not necessary here as well-
Finally THAT did my job:The last one did the job. Somehow the SESSION route did the job, finally. For some reason my old license was still on my computer. I deleted almost everything, but … So I now have only 1 Capture One and can keep on working.

The first one obviously won`t help in my case as Capture One does not remember my new license but only my old one. I try to proceed the second one and see what happens.
Would ne nice to have some support here really. Lost almost one day since now with that license stuff.
