error[19 - resCouldNotLoadRawData] ?

have started a portfolio edit, going back over the last ~year's work to pull the worthy ones. Problem is, those frames which were previously edited/generated in CO7 that I'm now re-editing in CO8 are producing the following error message:

Error Output Processing File 5D3_xxxx.cr2: Error processing File 5D3_xxxx.cr2: error[19 - resCouldNotLoadRawData]

It doesn't happen with all of them, but it does happen with quite a few, even those which were edited in CO7 but not in CO8.

So, net result is, at the moment I can't edit & generate the files I need to .. any one else have this problem?

  Unless another user comes up with a solution, in this case I suggest you'd better create a support case.

  This is the exact problem I have. But I'm on Windows 7 x64. On quite a few of my images I get this error. If I close down C1 and restart it I can process the files. This is on files that have previosly not been edited on an earlier version. I have Canon 550d and 5d III .cr2 files. It happens on both of them. Have tried with a new session. Same problem unfortunately.
  Computer is uptodate with drivers and working great. I have started a support case btw.

  I see some similarities in the cases reported here:
  - Canon CR2 raw files
  - edited in CO7, next in CO8 generates the error
  Suggested workaround: create a NEW variant, which will be assigned the v8 engine by default and copy edits from the other variant.
