I hear the Pope is available at the moment? Perhaps Phase One should consider hiring him, because the only thing that would get C1 up and running perfectly would be a miracle 😂

    Dave...

or, if prayers don't work, hiring a professional external testing team!

I waited for the upgrade to 7.1 to process one job, as the constant crashing on my new 16GB ram 750 SSD Macbook Pro was unacceptable, thank god it was a personal project, so the Leaf back has remained in the bag as it has done for most of its life... Is it just me, but i find C1 so un mac and impossible to understand, and don't see why i should have to train myself on one piece of software when every other app or software is instantly understandable these days...i feel like i am still in 1995 when i use C1. It is only the great Capture Pilot App that keeps me persevering, and the fact that the images look great WHEN it all works. I would love to be able to spend time shooting and chasing business rather than having to look at tutorials that are incomprehensible to me... the engine may be great but the whole software needs to be redesigned by an 11 year old so it is a helpful tool not a dreaded exam which is how i feel everytime i start up Capture One... just my opinion...

    Ben,
That is certainly a subjective point of view as the User Experience by others has been praised. If you have questions that you cannot find an answer to in the Tutorials the Support Team is always here to help you.

Absolutley Drew, only in my opinion, But i don't want to have to speak to or watch tutorials to work a piece of critical software, (esp as i am often off-line in the field) perhaps it's just me but if i move images i need to restart the program to see them otherwise it looks as if they have disappeared. If it is only me that finds it overly complicated and difficult to use and navigate then please ignore. Its just that every time i come back to it i hope it has improved (in my opinion) I guess if you already know your way around it, it's not a problem, i just find Adobe programs a lot more effortless and in line with the rest of the world... again only my opinion, but every time i sit down to process i get frustrated and stuck at a different stage each time... i now dread opening the program as it makes me feel like an idiot... perhaps that is just it !!

Ya, I am also having problems with the new 7.1 version. Works fine until I want to quit the program, then either hangs before it comes up asking to backup the catalog, (Yes, I use the catalogs and so far working ok), or after it backs up it crashes. Strange I get both Apple's crash reporter and phaseone's, but phaseone's most of the time comes up and says empty log.

This sounds like an OS related error, possibly the root cause of the crash.
If you can contact us in a support case and provide a System Profile and LOG files I'd be happy to have a look.

    again:
First close the recent catalogue - take a cup of coffee. and THEN close COne w/o any catalogue opened

This seems to be a little bei weird, but:
It's just 1 little (additional) step for the user, but a big step towards the stability of your system 😊

    saludos redondos -
