automatic mask adjustment

Hi,
if I draw a mask and stop painting, an automatic "mask adjustment" is started and tries to enhance the borders of the mask.
Is there a possibility to disable this automatic mode ?
Didn't find anything, but I am also new to C1...

  Perhaps you have auto-masking turned on? Right click when the brush tool is in use and deselect the box for auto mask. (Sometimes useful to get a mask p to the edge of an object, but best not used at other times.)
