Live view: extremely low-res
I'm getting extremely low-res Live View, it's basically unusable for anything, esp. focussing. Are there any hidden settings for hi-res video feeds? Also, at 100% the live view doesn't refresh. Never had a problem in C1 v7.

I'm using C1 v8.2 on OSX 10.10.2 with Nikon D800e & D810. Retina Macbook Pro mid-2014, 16gb RAM

Usually, the camera can only send 3-4 different levels, all intermediate levels are interpolated by CO.
They are usually fit, 50% and 200%. How can you tell? WHen it's sharp, with no obvious pixelation, you have a native level.
(this is different when it comes to IQ series Digital Backs, as they can provide more levels)0 -
Hi Christian,
Thanks for the explanation. So this is a D810-setting? Any advice on what specific settings?0 -
I have the exact same problem here since upgrading from CO 8.1 to 8.2. Live View functionality on the D800 is broken - a major headache for a studio workflow largely based around composing & critical focusing in this mode. Sigh 0 -

You might want to revert to 8.1 until the issue is solved.0 -
Hi Paul, it may seem like a silly question but how do I do this? I overwrote my previous version (8.1) when I upgraded to V8.2. Also I believe my 8.2 sessions aren't retro compatible with 8. 1. Any help here is much appreciated otherwise I will be forced to buy Nikon Camera Control Pro as a stopgap.
Thanks,
Matthew0 -

You may want to consider some other piece of software, the Nikon software is hopelessly over priced. Consider ControlMyNikon for example. If you search a bit, there are others who do this just as well (if not better) than the Nikon program.0 -
You can download older versions from PhaseOne Archive.
I do mostly Fine Art Repro. When I need to go back to earlier versions I throw all the sidecar folders away and start fresh.
Besides I make my own profiles and do not use much of Capture to get accurate colour.0 -
Great thanks Grant, will do. I've built custom ICC profiles for linear shooting within Capture One so am highly dependent on the interface for any given repro project (along with the live view). It will be a great relief to have things back to normal! 0 -
Another thing is that both versions can reside on your system. You should be able to shoot in 8.1.1 and then use 8.2.1 to edit. 0
