sharpness of the previewed vs processed files
I found that the processed raw files (16bit tiff, ProphotoRGB, 300dpi) viewed at 100% in PS CS3 are somewhat less sharp compared to the preview in C4.5 @ 100% zoom factor.
However, I switched off the sharpening in C4.5, because I prefer to apply Capture sharpening via Pixelgenius PKsharpener later in PS. Therefore I'm not sure if this is normal . In other words, does C4.x apply sharpening in the preview even if the sharpening box is switched off for the conversion - or is there an issue ?
Sorry if this has been already discussed.
Thank you in advance for your comments

Wolfgang

Any sharpening I apply in the Sharpening tab is displayed on the preview, but if I check Disable Sharpening in the process recipe it isn't applied in the conversion, so I think it's normal.

Thank you very much for your comment. Indeed, I overviewed that the default sharpening was set in the sharpening tab. If I set all values in the tab to zero, the preview and onversion look pretty much the same as they should.

In addition I would like to advise Wolfgang to update to the latest CO4 (4.8.3) release when sharpening and preview is of any concern. 0
