Editing EXIF (lens name)
Hi all -
This is my first post in the forum.
I've still not very familiarized with it, but I've tried searching to no avail. Please excuse me if it's a common topic.
I'm using C1P8 for Mac as my main editor for my RAW files (I shoot with a Canon 5D mk II and various lenses).
When I shoot with my Canon lenses, I got the proper lens name displayed in the EXIF. However, when I shoot with my Sigma 35mm f/1.4 ART lens I only get "35mm" as the lens name.
I would like to manual edit the lens field in the EXIF so it display the full name of the Sigma lens. Is it possible to do it within Capture One Pro 8? That would be great!
So far I was only able to find a solution using "Exiftool" script running via Terminal commands...not so practical for me.
Thanks
GB

Those EXIF entries cannot be editied with C1 (or any other RAW editor). For this you really have to go to the command line and exiftool. 0 -

Exif Editor, available on the App store, can be used to do that. I use it regularly on Sony cameras with adapted lenses, it might work on the Canon cameras as well.0 -
Thank you all for the reply.
It's a pity that it can't be done via C1P. I've been searching more and have found a GUI app to run Exiftool in a more friendly interface (instead of going through terminal myself).
Cheers
