Keyboard Shortcut Problem
Something, somewhere is overriding the keyboard shortcut I've assigned in Capture One for hiding/showing the viewer.
I set that to G and that works fine for showing the viewer. But not hiding it. Something had decided that ^V will go there.
Checking the System Preferences for keyboard shortcuts showed nothing (some time ago I has assigned a ^V shortcut there, but later removed it). Keyboard Maestro has no shortcut either (but I also created one there and later removed it).
So how can I try to track down what has hijacked my Hide Viewer keyboard shortcut?

You mentioned Keyboard Maestro, so I assume you're on a Mac.
Is it possible that at some point you set a shortcut in the Keyboard pref pane? Do you have other applications that set system-wide keyboard shortcuts? Example: Text Expander.
What happens if you create a new shortcut set in C1 and re-enter your shortcuts?0 -
Yes, Mac.
I did check the keyboard preferences. I don't think there are other apps.
Trying a new shortcut set was a good idea. But, sadly, it didn't help. It's making me crazy trying to figure out what's doing this.0 -
Keyboard Maestro can drive crazy other apps.(my PS is also getting random issues) but on El Capitan. Looks like they do not support El Capitan, and that causes mess here and there 😊
So I unstalled it. (In C1 you can customize almost any shortcut)0 -
Keyboard Maestro should be compatible with 10.10 and 10.11:

I've never noticed a problem with KM unless a shortcut I assigned was duplicated in multiple KM macros, in a pref pane, etc.
Most shortcuts can be edited. Cursor shortcuts can’t. For example, Phase One has told me that the Loupe tool is a cursor shortcut (because it changes the cursor behavior, which I wouldn’t have thought of), so its shortcut can't be changed (this frustrates me because this is one shortcut I really want to change).0
