Version 8.3 and still not D7200

I am now realy disappointed about CP1.
Every competitive raw file developer I know has the D7200 implemented.
But....also in version 8.3 still not!

As a subscibing user, I expect that in a reasonable time new camara models are
considered. Why Adobe can do it & others ?
How long is the D7200 on market? March 2015!
I pay for a SW which I can not use.

Sorry, but just needed to post it.

Frustrated!

    I notice you're just venting, but i'd thought i share the following with you.

    Phase One never makes statements on due dates for their software, this includes when certain cameras will be supported.

    If you search the forum, you will notice that it generally takes Phase One a couple of months (not 2, but more like 5, 6 of longer) to include new models. This apparently has to do with the popularity of the camera, the willingness of the vendor to supply one for profiling and perhaps some other reasons.

    So, when buying a new camera and you want to work with CO, best to check before purchase whether that cam is supported.

    The D7200 will come, it will just take some more time.

    thanks for the reply.

    As you wrote, the D7200 implementation will come.
    But I can not follow why it takes so long.
    It is not a question, that the D7200 will get the same popularity than the D7100.
    Hopefully they do not wait for a particular high number of sold cameras 😉

    Let see, how long it takes. My be, if more complain, it goes faster....

    Of course, you could always wait until a new camera is supported before buying it.

    Phase One didn't force you to buy a D7200.

    I feel the same way about the Canon M3 and other cameras not supported by PhaseOne. If a camera I want is not supported by the software, I'll sooner switch software than ditch the cameras. And I expect to wait maybe a few weeks for RAW support, not months. If other developers can do it then I don't see why PhaseOne should can't. Most of all I just wish they would at least let you know if they plan to support a camera so you can go ahead and buy it, their support system is useless and won't tell you anything.

    If you know of a converter that will do as good a job for you as Capture One, why persevere with it at all?

    Conversely, if only Capture One will do, consider the tardiness in getting new camera support out, part of the price of admission.

    But I'll say it again: it's nobody else's fault if you choose to be an early adopter of a camera before Capture One supports it.

    It would be really refreshing if people could take some personal responsibility for their decisions, instead of flailing around looking for someone else to blame when their choices bite them on the backside...

    This isn't new - Capture One has always operated to the same kind of timescale. Other converter developers don't pre-announce planned new camera support, so why should Phase One?

    Phase One support is fine. It's just that telling you when your camera might be supported isn't its job.
