preview staying pixelated in LE 3.7.1

Like in previous versions, the preview stays pixelated when you enlarge it. That is, until you reach 400%, then it suddenly recalculates nicely, and I get the enlarged and sharp preview I want. What could be the cause of this? I really need the preview to recalculate at lesser magnifications as well! I have a Konica Minolta A2, my computer has an Athlon 64 3400+, 1GB RAM, 250GB harddisks

    This is normal behavior; the preview window does not recalculate until 400%, which is the equivalent of 100% in the focus pane window. You should use the latter for critical evaluation anyway, as that window has a much more accurate rendition of the sharpening and noise reduction parameters that will be applied upon conversion.

    However, it does not seem that you can get a focus pane preview of less than 100% (400% in the regular preview.)
