Windows XP64 and Capture One LE crashes
Hi,
My re-installed C1 LE version 3.7.3 crashes when I select a folder for viewing.
I just upgraded my computer and reinstalled my C1 LE, and it has a ram message when it opens:
please note that the application requires 128 MB RAM for optimal performance....
I have 8 Gb of RAM! a 3 Ghz processor, and dual Nvidia 512 video cards.
I am running windows XP64, which may be my problem.
When I get past the ram message, and select a folder for editing, I get the message:
Capture One for windows 2000 and XP has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.....
the error signature says this:
AppName: captureone.exe AppVer: 3.7.3.140 ModName: captureone.exe
ModVer: 3.7.3.140 Offset: 00018517
If anyone knows something, I would appreciate some help.
Is this a compatibility problem with XP64?
Will upgrading to the latest version fix it?
Maybe there is a setting I need to change?
Shame to have this new fast computer and not be able to process with C1.
Thanks in advance.
Kevin

While I have a 64 bit CPU I've not played much with the 64 bit version of Windows because of lack of drivers. So I've also kept my RAM to the 2 GB level.
I believe the problem with Capture One is that is it using 32 bit memory addressing, and making some assumptions along the way. So the 8 GB looks like negative 1 byte (or some very strange number).
Like I said I don't know much about XP64, but is there an option available for program to hide some portion of RAM? If you could make Windows lie to Capture One and only present 2 GB of RAM it should solve the problem.0 -
kevinve,
WIndows OS 64 Not Supported with current Capture One version 3.7.6
Likely to arrive with version 4.0 Upgrade.
