Codec required for CaptureOne v4 video (WMV)
Meaning the video available for download at:
http://www.phaseone.com/Content/Downloads/CO4.aspx
I downloaded the WMV version because it's substantially smaller than the .MOV version ... and found that at first only the audio would play. Fortunately, the media-player app I use (Gomplayer.exe -- freeware, and a fantastic program) (available from gomplayer.com) has a 'find missing codec' feature and the codec was available on the Gomplayer.com site.
The required codec is Windows Media Video 9 Advanced Profile (VC-1 AP) (a 12 MB download).
[color=blue:947otfnn]PhaseOne[/color:947otfnn]: consider mentioning this requirement on your download page.

As the current Windows Media is now up to v11 , and that the codec has been in existence for almost 2 years, it sounds likely that P1 (in fairness to them) assumed that most people would have it by now. Given you've just downloaded 125MB for the video, whilst I agree it would be a hinderence, I wouldn't have thought it would've been much of a problem to download that extra 12MB. I'm surprised this hasn't come with one of many Windows Media Player updates in your Windows Update lists? (if you don't use Windows Update, it might be a great idea to visit it).
An alternative is to download VLC Media Player (www.videolan.org) which, despite being almost 10MB itself, plays almost everything under the sun "out of the box" (including DVDs), so you may consider that a more fruitful alternative in the long run. (I have confirmed it plays the WMV tutorial you speak of). Considering that includes all the inbuilt codecs it uses, it's also less "bloaty" than WMP, which is important if you try to run a lean system.0
