Cannot copy some adjustments to the clipboard
Hi,
I am currently editing a few images and my workflow incorporates copying adjustments from one image to the other.
Recently I upgraded to Capture One Pro 8.1 and converted most of my catalogs/sessions to the new format.
There is one session where - for the first time ever - when I want to copy adjustments I see the following message:
Cannot copy some adjustments to the clipboard.
This version of Capture One does not support some of the adjustments made to the selected variant. Those adjustments will not be copied to the clipboard and cannot be applied to other variants.
Update: I found out the apparantly my custom settings for Noise reduction and sharpening for the D4s oder D810 will not be copied. Why? I have no clue.
Has anyone else experienced this message before?
Any other than that Capture One Pro 8.1 runs pretty flawless.
Peter

Peter,
As a guess there were some adjustments moving between V7 and V8 where if the original edits were still using the V7 engine but the copied changes were using V8 they could not be applied backwards (not unusual) and iirc a few others whereby the way V8 does things is different to V7 and so V7 based edits were not usable in V8.
I think the change from V8 to V8.1 resulted in some similar situations. In some cases the restrictions may be specific to certain cameras if compatibility has changed or maybe new profiles have been introduced.
If you cannot see anything obviously different between you custom NR and sharpening compared to the the 8.1 available options it would make sense to create a support case and ask for an explanation about any changes that might be the potential cause.
Is your 8.1 installation replacing your V8 installation or does it sit alongside it?

I created those profiles fresh with my C1 8.1. installation that replaced my 8.0 version. I'll see if my Macbbook Pro responds the same and then submit a ticket with the support team.

Hi Peter,
it seems that I have a similar problem, but I updated from Version 7 to 8.1.
Have you solved your problem now? What was the reason?

My solution was to reset the base characteristics of the variants with the new engine,
or in german: das zurücksetzten der Basismerkmale bei den Varianten mit dem neuen engine hat geholfen.0 -
Hi,
It seems to be related to images that were using the old V7 engine, were upgraded to V8.1 but if you copy adjusted settings you'll see this behavior. I'll try Wolfgangs hint but do not like my settings to be reset.
Currently, I am a little behind with older sessions and since new sessions/catalogs are not showing this behavior I am currently fine.

I have the same problem, too. My images come from a v7 session and they have been updated to use the new engine. Copying adjustments between images that use engine v6 or v7 goes normally. Most annoying is the dialog which can be dismissed only with the keyboard and only before you click anywhere else, otherwise you must force quit.
I have opened a support case.

Hi,
with BASE CHARACTERISTICS you only reset the ICC Profil and the Curve, but not all your settings.
Here it works so far, give it a try!
