Why would you feel better, when there are only upsides to lossless compressed?

I can't help but think that lossless
isn't really lossless or there wouldn't
    be an uncompressed option.

There is 1 advantage with uncompressed raw, and that's decompression speed. However, that advantage does not exist in Capture One. The lossless compressed format can be read many times faster.
Also, when tethering, the uncompressed file would take nearly double the time to transfer, as it almost double in filesize. All in all, if you want full performance, while maintaning exactly the same image-quality, go for the lossless compression.

    I have to agree.

    The tethering time was pretty
    fast with the Lossless Compression.

I used the Tether tools 15 cable and it
was between 2 and 3 seconds on my
    2011 Imac.

It might even be faster on a newer
    MacBook Pro.
