Not Desperate Anymore.........
I thought I would "STUMBLE" back onto the forum to report good news.
My 5d mk3 would not connect the other day, and I was in the middle of a PAYING session, so I had time to post, and being frantic, I posted to anyone who might answer, about troubleshooting the issue. Unfortunately no had the right answer, so I found out myself by trial and error 😂
On my MacBook Pro, I have 2 usb ports and 1 was used to acquire images with CF, and the other was tethered. This was apparently the problem, so I unplugged the CF reader and viola, tether happens.
It is so nice to have such caring administrators 🤬

did you make a support case? also if you know computers better you would know the answer. maybe hiring a professional digital tech would be a better idea for a "PAYING session"
On MacbookPros - since they went to the unibody design - the USB ports are underpowered. For tethering only use the USB port closest to the mag safe adapter.0 -

We DO care, and that's why your previous post had a response directly from myself within 1 hour and 9 minutes!!!!

That response suggested you create a support case so we could work with you directly and quickly. With a Support case we receive an email notifying us of a response from you, we then respond and you in-turn receive an email notifying you of a response from us. No need to keep checking back/forth on the forum... which by the way is a user to user forum and not a "User to Phase One Tech Support" forum.
In the future, please create a support case for immediate support. Provide details of the issue and give us a phone number, if we have the opportunity we can call you or do a screen share to help resolve the issue. Things not possible through the forum.0 -
