C1LE crashes on x64 despite clean install
C1LE wont get far on my x64 machine, it launches ok, but as soon as I point it at some raw files and it starts to build the thumbnails it crashes and closes down. Its annoying as it used to work ok.
I have done uninstall and re-installs. no change. I've done manual uninstall, following the FAQ steps, and removing all components, but no difference.
other programs are working fine on my machine. including other raw converters, so?

Tyan S2895 motherboard, dual opteron 280's.
Windows x64
Capture One 3.7.3 LE
It used to work ok, but something has changed - maybe when I put a trial version of Pro on there (I was testing some P45 files) and now I can't get LE to work. of course I have totally removed Pro too. (manual and auto uninstall)

This is not that answer you are looking for but it is the one I have to give you 😭
x64 of Windows is currently not a part of our test matrix where by we can not guarantee stability of the program.
It will not be a part of the test matrix until earliest version 4.0
There is some user that is working with Capture One on x64 successfully, look at this post http://forum.phaseone.com/viewtopic.php?t=1738
Maybe they can help you out with tips and tricks.0 -
One thing that might help is to use a tool like Registry Mechanics to clean the registry after the uninstallation of C1 PRO / LE (for that matter any other software).
But as you are using XP x64, there are very few registry cleaners available. I found the following link while searching google:

You may want to try it.
Also you should physically check the program folders and delete them manually if they were not automatically deleted by the uninstaller.
The general steps I follow to uninstall any software is :
1. Uninstall software
2. Reboot
3. Delete programs folders if not automatically deleted
4. Run a registry cleaner
5. Reboot (May not be necessary, but I do it anyway)
