Capture One and DNGs
I have been running some DNGs from the new Pentax K-5 through Capture One 5. The colors are way, way off and very difficult to correct. The image files are those that I have downloaded from Imaging Resource. I do not have this problem with DNGs from other Pentax cameras (K10D and K-7.) What might be the explanation? ACR handles colors from the same files perfectly.

Rob,
Adobe RAW DNG's are supported and Specific Camera RAW DNGs are supported. Not every DNG is supported. Please reference the release notes for the specific Camera RAW formats supported.0 -

Drew,
Thanks. That's what I figured was going on. I guess I will just have to wait for C1 to add support for the K-5. I do not use the DNG format but was simply trying to test some K-5 files in C1. I will be purchasing the camera within the next 1-2 months, which may mean using ACR, at least for a short while (I hope.)

The K-5 is certainly on our TO DO list but I cannot say for sure when it will be available. I would also hope it is within 1-2 months but can offer no promise or guarantee. 0 -
I see you're planning to add K-5 support - any chance of K-R support as well? Planning to purchase this camera shortly, it would be really nice if C1 would support it
Cheers

Create a Support Case and we can submit the request. 0 -
Well, you see, it's like this.... I was walking into the camera shop armed with the money for a K-R and the guy basically said.. "K-r isn't in yet, but how about a sweet deal on a D90?"
Umm, yeah, I kinda don't need K-r support now.. Sorry to waste your time, and boy do I feel silly, having posted and all that...
Sorry Drew, and please disregard my last post...0
