Setup for Tethered Canons
I need help with how to setup my EOS 1D Mark III and 1Ds Mark II to shoot tethered through C1 4 Pro. It has been a while since I saw how to install install everything in 3.74.
I have the 1Ds MkII WIA and TWAIN drivers intalled, but it isn't that simple obviously. Can anyone give me a step by step instruction on how to get both of my cameras to be shot tethered? From start till finish? Thank you.
I work with Windos XP as well.
Thanks Again!

If you run WinXP, you should only install WIA drivers for the MkII, not TWAIN drivers. These are for Windows 2000.
From the top of my head:
For the MkII camera, connect through firewire, power it on, take care no other application grabs the connection (auto start), start CO 4.6.x Pro, go to the capture tab.
For the MkIII camera, set communication settings in camera menu to computer (not PTP or printer), connect the USB cable, same sequence as above.0 -
Thank you Paul. I got the 1Ds Mark II working, but the 1D Mark III I am having a problem. I can not find where to change the communication to PC Connect.

This is the article I read, and obviously the 1D MarkIII only has the USB connection, and isn't the same menu setup as the camera(20D I believe) you provided for the article.
Thanks again!!!0 -
Neal, unfortunately I do not have any MkIII camera at hand and could not find the manual on Canon's download site. Maybe a MkIII user can jump in.
And about the 'article I provided'. Hmm, you must confuse me with a member of Phase One staff. 😉0
