Broadcasting wifi on a pc to use capture pilot
I have setup my laptop to use capture pilot but I am currently using a mifi device as a router. Is it possible to set my laptop to broadcast the wifi rather than using the mifi device as it uses data and the maximum usage is 15G, not to mention cost money.
Thanks
Thanks

When WiFi devices like your iOS device with Capture Pilot and your computer communicate with each other through a WiFi access point or MiFi device, the internet is not accessed. In the case of your MiFi device the 3G connection is not used here, hence no cost apply. Other applications on your computer or iOS device might use the 3G internet connection for their purpose, but Capture Pilot does not, AFAIIK.
Having said that, you can configure your Windows system to run as a WiFi access point, a.k.a. Ad Hoc mode. The specifics of how to set that up depend heavily on your hardware and software setup, which included your version of Windows and the software that is installed for the wireless adapter in your computer. Once setup, have your iOS device connect to the broadcasted WiFi network that you configured on your Windows computer and use Capture Pilot as usual.
Note: for security reasons you are advised to switch off the Ad Hoc mode on your computer when not in use. It might also interfere with your own and other user's networks in your neighborhood. In fact, the MiFi device is a much preferred solution.0
