SONY A700 DNG- > Error Setting Source
Hi,
I tried to process some Sony A700 DNGs, some worked at first, this evening C1 refused to output any but one image. No restarting changed that.
Any idea anyone? Has that to do with A700 not yet officially supported?
Processing worked at least in the Beta.
Regards,
Bernd
P.S. Here's a link to a screenshot showing the exact error message: http://ausgezeichnet.zenfolio.com/img/v ... 0850-5.jpg
I was trying to send this to support, but support was done....

Nope, since processing worked in the beta without setting it...
Besides, how do you set a camera profile? ☹️

in the beta you could set dng generic or something like that.

but search the forum... someone reported about that and there is a solution.

Hm, I remember how to set it in 3.7.7 but if I recall correctly V4 sets this automatically. I might be wrong.
The weird thing is that I processed some shots in V4 some days ago, and now after activating it, it seems to cause problems. I haven't changed anything else.

Strange. You can set it in the Quick tab under icc profile. If there is no profile for dng generic maybe you can take "others - > Phase One No Color Correction". This will be quite desaturated but you can push saturation in the exposure tab. Maybe that's okay as workaround?

Hi,
I tried setting to to DNG Neutral, the first photo will process, with the following I'm getting the same error message.

hello
You have to copy the settings to the other, the setting is on pictur by bicture base.
Mark all (ctrl-A), copy to kklipboard and paste

Try to set profile for all the files together: set profile to the first picture -> copy adjustemts -> select all files in the folder > apply adjustments.
Too, in the tools pane you have the adjustments tab. Here you can select which adjustments you want to copy to other files. If it's just the profile, the profile entry has to be marked.

Hm, I can't share your optimism.... ☹️
I think the 1st image can be processed regardless of ICC setting- even changing to neutral manually results in the same error.
C1 says "Error Output processing file, set source".
It would be really helpful if someone from PhaseOne would at least drop a line...

that's what we are talking about.
Phase will probably give feedback if you post a support case on the official website.

This is weird...it is working again...altough I haven't changed much.
The error is slightly different to the support case on the phase one website, assigning an ICC profile manually works however for A700 DNGs...
Thanks! I still hope that A700 RAWs will be supported SOON....

We all have to get used to the new workflow. Me I don't use V4 yet as I wait for useful preview quality. Just installled it to follow discussions here and to try out something...

I think the A700 files will be supported quite soon. One of the reasons for the completely new architecture of the software is the better implementation of updates... that's what they told us. With regard to this it would be very strange if they would not demonstrate this advantage soon.
