Hi, you might want to give more detailed information (which revision level, camera model, version of CO 4.x) so other could benefit from your experience or respond.
And of course, in you are not already using CO 4.8.1, have you tried the update?0 -
The 4.8.1 is when it started. I shoot with a Sony A700. This problem started with the update. When comparing jpg and raw files shot the raw files are over exposed. Before the update there was very little difference between jpg and raw.
I have used IDC (Sony software) to see if I was the problem and they are the same.0 -
I suggest you open a support case with Phase One and upload a few images. Either Phase One made a change or it is the firmware. I have a few ARW files of the A700 from the Internet and notice this behavior as well but not all images. 0 -
Ok here is a screen capture of what I have.
When I select the folder the files come over correctly then all RAW files start updating to the over exposed that you see here. Note also the thumb nails and you can see the jpg from the ARW files.

Sorry for the copyright symbol, It's a zenfolio thing0 -
Same effect noticed here as well with A700 raw overexposed by .5 to .75.
Also the raw detail is not quite as good as the jpg when viewed at 100%.
I've used Capture One 3.x and 4.x for over 2 years with the Sony R1 where the raw
was markedly better than the jpg.
This does not appear to be the case with the A700 arw's.
Is it that the A700 jpg's are that much better - in which case I'll simply shoot
Superfine jpg which should be better again or is the C1 4.2.8 A700 algorithm not extracting the detail ?
